Every Sauna Barrel is covered by a 1-year warranty from delivery.
Wood options: pine or Thermowood
The standard Sauna Barrel is built from 40 mm local Indonesian pinewood with an outdoor Lasur-Impra finish. For outdoor locations with heavy rain and strong sun you can choose Thermowood.
What is Thermowood? Pine that has been heated to around 180–215 °C in a steam atmosphere, without chemicals. The heat changes the wood's cell structure, so the boards take up much less moisture.
Benefits outdoors
- More stable boards: less swelling, shrinking, warping and cracking
- Better resistance to rot and fungus
- Much less resin bleeding in the hot interior
- Warm, even brown colour through the whole board
Good to know
- Thermowood is not termite-proof
- Like all wood, it turns silver-grey in the sun without a UV finish
- It is slightly more brittle, so it is handled and fixed with care

The Sauna Barrel is shipped knock-down: pre-cut 40 mm pine panels and parts, packed for transport and assembled on site.
Do you install the sauna?
Yes. We provide installation in Java and Bali. For other regions, contact us and we will advise on delivery and assembly.
What warranty do you give?
Every sauna comes with a 1-year warranty.
How thick is the wood?
Walls are made of 40 mm solid pine boards, available in standard local Indonesian pine or in Thermowood (thermally modified pine).
Which heater can I choose?
Electric, or our IGNIS heaters, which burn wood pellets or dry firewood and have a fire-view window and an external fire chamber.
